If you've followed me for a while, you might remember when I offered "Glamour Sessions" --those fun, colorful shoots with bod gels and colored lights that added drama and mood to portraits. They were a blast, and I loved seeing how a splash of purple or red could transform a simple studio moment into something edgy and unforgettable.

But as I experimented more with lighting, I realized I wanted to take it further--way further. That's when I started diving deep into Light Painting, and everything changed.

Now, I'm thrilled to introduce my Light Art Sessions--a whole new level of creative portraiture that combines the best of colored gels with true light painting techniques. These aren't just photos; they're living pieces of art, captured in-camera with long exposures, intentional light trails, glowing orbs, and ethereal effects that feel like pure magic.

What makes Light Art Sessions special?

• Custom light trails and glows-- I use handheld tools (wands, swords, fiber optics and more. I find a lot of these products at lightpaintingbrushes.com and I highly recommend them. They even have tutorials on how to use the tools.) to draw, swirl, and paint light right in front of the camera during long exposures. No Photoshop tricks here--everything you see is real, created in the moment.

• Colored gels for mood==We still incorporate those vibrant gels to add pops of color for some poses, but now they go hand in hand with the painted light for richer more dynamic results.

• Studio or outdoor options--We can do these in my controlled studio setup (perfect for dramatic black or colored background effects) or outdoors after dark for a cinematic blend of painted light.
